Comment:
UL17 is coded entirely in the intron of UL15 and belongs to a family that includes HSV-1 UL17,HSV-6 ORF10R, EHV-1 45, HCMV UL93, EBV BGLF1, and VZV 43. Roizman (PNAS vol 63, 11307-12, 1996, Medline: 97030190) assigns it gamma-1 expression regulation.
